The Libertines played secret headline show in Melbourne and here’s what went down.
After selling out their Forum Theatre show months in advance, The Libertines announced a surprise gig less than 24 hours before they took to the stage at The Curtin in Melbourne.
The venue’s band room is tiny and can hold around 300ish punters but this didn’t stop Libs fans, as they were lining up from around 2pm in afternoon in hopes of scoring a ticket. By 5pm the line was around the block down Victoria street. There were tears, sweat and beers flowing with a hint of nostalgia in the air.
We sent down a photographer to capture the show and it was one for the ages!
