Hockey Dad’s story is simple: best mates first, band second, and their music flows from their surroundings: sunny and jangly guitar driven rock complete with anthemic choruses. Yet please do not mistake their laid back vibes for anything but tight execution and a drive to share their good times with the world.

Described by Consequence Of Sound as “one of the best bands at this year’s SXSW” the duo has built themselves an incredible live reputation on the back of consistent touring in support of their EP release Dreamin over the last two years. In late 2015 they took some time out of a busy live schedule to record their debut album with Tom Iansek (Big Scary, #1 Dads) in Melbourne, before mixing it with Wade Keighran (The Scare, Wolf & Cub). The result is Boronia, eleven tracks of the Hockey Dad sound we’ve come to know and love, featuring earlier tracks I Need A Woman and Can’t Have Them alongside new hits So Tired and Jump The Gun.

On the back of tours in the UK, Europe, USA and a completely sold out Australian tour the boys will now be bringing the party to regional towns on the east and west coast of Australia this summer!’
