Off the back of its sell-out success, we are again partnering with our mates at Jack Daniel’s to continue to celebrate Aussie live music and bring your fav Aussie acts to your hometown! Jack Daniel’s is making it count by supporting the music industry.
The Jack Daniel’s Make It Count tour ethos is to give back to artists and venues, and celebrate the reignition of the live music scene in Australia. After a sold-out tour in April, Jack Daniel’s Make It Count tour is going even bigger with an all-star Aussie lineup heading around the country to Australia’s most beloved venues on the East Coast.
All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to Support Act. Support Act is Australia’s only charity delivering crisis relief services to artists, artist managers, crew and music workers as a result of ill health, injury, a mental health problem, or some other crisis that impacts on their ability to work in music.
These amazing Australian artists will each play an intimate show, where you can show your support with tickets only at $10. Don’t miss your chance to be part of it and Make It Count with Jack Daniel’s.
Kicking off the Make It Count tour are Brisbane legends, DUNE RATS. Four albums in, Dune Rats are still finding new ways to connect with the creative chaos that is at the core of their music. With over 150 million global streams and 2 consecutive #1 ARIA Albums, not to mention the hunger for the live Dune Rats experience leading the band to sell out theatres across the country, it’s undeniable that hype for Dune Rats hasn’t slowed. If anything, it’s become reinforced. The band’s focus has never been more set on bringing their famous live shows back to crowds, bolstered by new music.
Supporting the boys, we have Brissy locals Beddy Rays, VOIID & Pandamic. Beddy Rays kicked off 2020 with the release of weekend anthem ‘Sobercoaster’ and really started shaking things up for these fun-loving larrikins. The cracker of a tune has amassed over 4.5 million streams on Spotify and echoed throughout backyards of Australia during triple j’s Hottest 100 of 2020, cementing the four-piece as one of the country’s most loveable bands. Their highly anticipated and fully independent debut album was released in July 2022 and achieved #1 Vinyl and #2 Australian Album on the ARIA charts, proving that these four humble young tradies are well on their way to becoming the next big Australian export.
VOIID, cemented the band’s position as a colossal force in the Australian punk scene as well as their lifelong friendship. After sharing stages with the likes of Grinspoon, Amyl & The Sniffers, Clowns and Cosmic Psychos, VOIID were invited to bring their caustic live set on the road with DZ Deathrays for their 2019 and in 2020, joined WAAX to resurrect live music with back-to-back sold-out shows at The Zoo in Brisbane.
This is a show you’d be kicking yourself if you missed it. Dune Rats and friends take the stage at NightQuarter on Friday, 11th November.
Next stop on the Jack Daniel’s Make It Count tour is Sydney’s iconic Crowbar, where Stand Atlantic will be making their overdue return to Australia. Ever since their breakthrough EP “Sidewinder” was released in 2017, Stand Atlantic has been one of the “Hottest Rock Artists” in the world, according to KERRANG. In 2018, Stand Atlantic released their critically-acclaimed debut album “Skinny Dipping”, amassing over 60,000,000 streams, magazine front covers and featuring on the opening of Riot. Selling out headline shows across Australia, UK/Europe and North America, Stand Atlantic released their highly anticipated album “Pink Elephant” in 2020.
Opening the night in Sydney are punk rock legends RedHook. RedHook were named Unearthed Feature Artist before winning the Unearthed competition to open Download Festival in Sydney in 2019. From there the group took off touring Europe supporting rock titans Three Days Grace, as well as playing Sydney’s inaugural Good Things fest, launching their own gender diversity-inspired festival – ‘UsFest’, playing a showcase at BIGSOUND & touring Australia with The Amity Affliction, Hands Like Houses & Ocean Grove. In 2021, RedHook pulled off a national sell out headline tour & released their acclaimed debut EP ‘Bad Decisions’, which has racked up almost 5 million Spotify streams.
Stand Atlantic and RedHook will be causing chaos in Sydney at Crowbar on Wednesday, 7th December.
These amazing Australian acts will each play an intimate show, where you can show your support with tickets only at $10. Keep an eye out for more tour dates to be announced soon with more big names from the Australian music scene coming to your local town.
