Australian trio, Mansionair, release their latest single “Astronaut (Something About Your Love)” (LISTEN HERE) out now on Glassnote. Produced by the band, mixed by Eric J (Flume, Nick Murphy) and premiered today on Beats 1 radio, “Astronaut” is a genre-splitting shot from the soul; as playful as it is a sincere exploration of loneliness and distant affections.

Producer/guitarist Lachlan Bostock describes the creation of the beginning suite of otherworldly harmonics, “We shoved a microphone deep inside a piano and recorded all the atmospheric noises that came out. Like what I imagined an astronaut felt as if he was looking back at Earth.”

In the last few years, Mansionair has been praised for their mesmerizing and genre-defying music from tastemakers including The Fader, Stereogum, NMEThe Guardian, BBC Radio 1 and Pigeons and Planes, who declared the band an “Act to Watch.” Soon after the band’s first release they were handpicked by CHVRCHES to open their headline tour across the USA, UK, and Europe. Mansionair went on to join Alt-J and Florence & The Machine on the road, most recently wrapping up a tour with London Grammar.

After a string off shows in Europe, Mansionair will be coming back to home turf and stopping by Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne this December.

Tickets are ON SALE now.
